Brief description
In-depth courses in tropical marine ecology are available for divers eager to deepen their knowledge about coral reef organisms and habitats!
Over 75% the world’s coral species, 3,000 species of fish, and countless invertebrate species are found in Indonesian waters and the reefs around Lembongan and Penida are some of the healthiest, most diverse, and abundant, providing the perfect classroom.
Our coral, invertebrate, and fish ecology programs provide thorough introductions to key reef builders and inhabitants.
Each course begins with a day of educational presentations covering the biology, ecology, and conservation of corals, invertebrates, or fish, followed by dives where instructors highlight in-situ examples of discussed species.
The second day features additional real-world observations and a combination of underwater and on-land identification challenges to assess students’ understanding.
CORAL, INVERTEBRATE AND FISH ECOLOGY
Each 2 days program can be taken as a stand-alone course or all courses can be combined over 3-6 days for a more holistic overview of tropical marine ecology.
