Brief Description
This program is designed to provide comprehensive training on conducting extensive Reef Check surveys and gathering top-notch data for our worldwide database.
Throughout the course, you’ll delve into marine conservation topics, citizen science’s significance, and mastering the identification of key indicator fish, invertebrates, and substrates crucial for assessing coral reef health, all as specified by Reef Check.
After finishing the program, you’ll be able to become part of the Reef Check monitoring team, participating in underwater surveys across the globe.
What will you learn
During the 5 days program you will learn in depth about fish identification, corals and substrates and invertebrates that populate the underwater world.
Through quizzes and point out dives our trainer will ensure that these topics are well mastered.
Moreover you will learn the transect survey methodology and apply it for real life surveys that will be then submitted to Reefcheck organization.
A minimum of 7 dives are included in this course.
With now 2 Eco trainers in our organization ready to teach we are proud promoters of the Reef Check organization and methods.
