The last 2 weeks of the marine biology DMT will focus on the marine biology section of the course, led by our experienced in-house marine biologist. This will include theoretical modules in the following:
o Introduction to Coral Reef Ecosystems
o Categorizing the environment
o Coral Ecology
o Coral monitoring / survey techniques and coral restoration
o Marine Protected Areas
o Charismatic Megafuana in Nusa Penida
o Scientific Diving
o Presenting marine biology topics
Practical components of this course will include fish and coral ID workshops, coral reef ecological surveying techniques, Marine underwater photogrammetry technique, and manta ray identification, visit to local community association doing coral restoration.
