What Is the Wanderlust Residency?
The Wanderlust Residency is a two-month Divemaster training program that combines multi-location expedition-style learning with an operational internship at a PADI 5-Star Career Development Center (CDC) in Bali.
Rather than remaining in a single location, participants experience Bali as a working dive professional—moving between regions, adapting to conditions, and learning how different dive operations function in real-world settings.
Month 1: Expedition-Based Divemaster Training Across Bali
The first month follows the Wanderlust expedition format, where training takes place across Bali’s most iconic dive regions. Each location offers unique underwater environments and professional challenges.
Pemuteran & Menjangan Island
This phase introduces divers to conservation-focused diving and dramatic wall environments. Candidates learn buoyancy precision, environmental awareness, and marine park etiquette while diving protected reef systems.

Tulamben is known globally for wreck and shore diving. Here, trainees develop logistical planning skills, navigation techniques, and safe shore entry management while working around one of Bali’s most famous wreck dives.

In Lembongan, the focus shifts to drift diving, current management, and large marine life encounters. This region trains candidates to read water movement, assess diver readiness, and manage safety in more dynamic conditions.
By the end of Month 1, participants are comfortable operating in varied environments—an essential skill for any professional diver.
Month 2: Operational Residency at a Career Development Center
The second month is where the program truly distinguishes itself. Based in Sanur, participants transition from student divers into professional trainees embedded in a high-volume dive operation.
Guiding Experience Under Supervision
Trainees begin assisting and gradually leading certified divers under the supervision of senior professionals. This stage focuses on decision-making, situational awareness, and confidence underwater.
Instructional Shadowing
