We Work
Every BDA professional programme is built around real diving. You won't just practise skills in a classroom. You'll assist on live courses, guide real guests and work alongside our instructors at our dive centres in Sanur, Nusa Lembongan, Pemuteran and Tulamben.
Not sure where to start? Tell us your certification level, dive count and how much time you have, and we'll recommend the right programme.
From Diver to Instrutor
Each level builds on the last. BDA can take you through every step.

"I did my DiveMaster (together with EFR and Rescue) with Bali Diving Academy… it was an amazing experience and an unforgettable 5 weeks. …multiple locations of BDA, which is actually great if you want to experience more dive sites."
"Ten out of 5 STARS! The Bali Diving Academy team guided me through an unbelievably great diving and learning experience! I am going back as soon as possible."
Comum Questões
What do I need to start?
Divemaster: minimum age 18, PADI Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver (or equivalent), EFR Primary & Secondary Care within 24 months and a medical clearance within 12 months. Not there yet? We can train you up first, so talk to us about where you're starting from.
IDC: PADI Divemaster (or equivalent), certified for at least 6 months, 60 logged dives (100 before the Instructor Exam), EFR within 24 months and a medical clearance within 12 months.
Which Divemaster programme is right for me?
It depends on your experience and your time. If you're already a Rescue Diver with 40+ dives and limited time, Divemaster Express is the fastest route. If you want more time to build experience, choose the 4-week Internship. Wanderlust is for divers who want to see all of Bali, and our conservation programmes add marine science and reef survey skills. Tell us about yourself and we'll recommend the best fit.
I'm not a Rescue Diver yet. Can I still go pro?
Yes. We can train you through Advanced Open Water, Rescue and EFR before your Divemaster programme starts, with a discount on extra courses and dives for Divemaster candidates. If you're starting from scratch, ask us about our Zero to Hero programme.
Can I do Divemaster and IDC back to back?
Yes, and many of our candidates do. You'll need 60 logged dives to start the IDC and 100 before the Instructor Exam, so we'll plan your dives with you to make sure you're ready.
Is accommodation included?
Accommodation isn't included in most programmes, but we can recommend options near each dive centre to suit different budgets. Ask us for a quote when you enquire.
Can I combine pro training with technical diving?
Yes. Our DM + Sidemount + Tec 40 package combines both, or you can add TecRec courses with BDA TEC at any point.
Ready to Go Pro?
Tell us your current certification, dive count and when you'd like to start, and we'll help you choose the right programme.
