EFR & Rescue Diver
PADI requires Rescue Diver certification and current Emergency First Response training before you can certify as a Divemaster. Already hold them? You're ready to start. If not, we run them at the beginning of your programme.
Enriched Air Nitrox
Tec 40's decompression model runs on EANx, so the Enriched Air Diver certification is a required prerequisite. This is the certification only — your deco stages are already included in the Tec 40 course itself.
Nothing here is a barrier to booking. Whatever you're missing, we sequence it into your programme at the point you need it. Building your logged-dive count as you go is part of the programme — and any extra fun dives you need along the way are 40% off. Do I need to be Rescue certified before I book?
No. Rescue Diver and current EFR are prerequisites for the Divemaster rating, but you don't need them before booking — if you don't hold them, we build them into the start of your programme at 25% off.
Why is Enriched Air a separate cost?
Tec 40's decompression model is built on EANx, so the Enriched Air Diver certification is a required prerequisite for the course. If you're already Nitrox certified, there's nothing to add. If not, it's IDR 2,800,000. This is separate from the deco gases used during Tec 40 itself, which are already included in the package.
How do I qualify for the free Self-Reliant Diver specialty?
PADI requires 100 logged dives to certify as a Self-Reliant Diver. Your Divemaster internship builds your logbook substantially, and our fun dives are 40% off throughout the programme to help you reach 100 — at which point we certify you free of charge.
How long does the whole programme take?
Around six weeks based in Sanur — four weeks of Divemaster internship followed by the Sidemount specialty and Tec 40. If you arrive needing Rescue, EFR or Nitrox, allow a little extra time at the start.
Do I need my own equipment?
Equipment rental is available at IDR 2,500,000 per 4 weeks. For the technical phase you'll need a dive computer, reel, SMB and cutting tool — rental is available. Sidemount and twin set configurations are both possible.
What if I'm certified with SSI or another agency?
Qualifying certifications from other recognised training organisations are generally accepted. Contact us with your certification details and we'll confirm your eligibility.
What can I do after this programme?
You'll be qualified to work as a PADI Divemaster anywhere in the world, with technical credentials most Divemasters don't have. From here, the natural next steps are the Instructor Development Course, or continuing your technical training with Tec 45 and Tec 50 — both of which we run in Sanur.
