Gili Tepekong
Known for its dramatic underwater topography, Gili Tepekong offers steep drop-offs and exciting swim-throughs. With strong currents and challenging conditions, this site is ideal for advanced divers looking for an adrenaline-filled experience. Notable sightings include barracuda, giant trevally, and sometimes mola-mola during the season.
Gili Mimpang
A fantastic dive for those who enjoy diverse landscapes, Gili Mimpang is composed of submerged pinnacles and rocky outcrops. It’s a hotspot for reef sharks, making it a great location for shark dives. The colorful corals and varied marine life also make it appealing for spotting species like sweetlips, bumphead parrotfish, and trevally. Due to the often strong currents, this site is best for advanced divers.
Gili Biaha
A thrilling dive site with a large pinnacle surrounded by deep waters, Gili Biaha is known for its shark encounters, especially white tip reef sharks that can often be found around the caves. The site features rugged underwater formations like overhangs and vertical walls draped in colorful corals. You’ll also see schools of fish, pelagic species, and potentially turtles in this dive. The current can be strong, so advanced diving skills are required.
Tangked Taked Shark Cave
Located between Gili Tepekong and Gili Biaha, Tangked Taked Shark Cave is a haven for shark enthusiasts. The cave is a popular resting spot for white tip reef sharks, offering divers close encounters with these predators. The surrounding area is rich with marine life, including large schools of fish, stingrays, and vibrant coral gardens. Strong currents and the open ocean setting make this an exciting dive for experienced divers.

One hour away from the south, Padangbai offers some great divesites. Perfect for courses but also not to be missed for experienced divers.
Amed
At a short distance from Tulamben, Amed offers many divesites to go explore. Less crowded but not less interesting, this is the place for a chill day of diving, or snorkeling .
