PADI TEC 50
Bali
The final step in open-circuit technical deep diving. Plan and execute decompression dives to 50 metres in the warm waters of Bali.
The Deep End
of Tec Diving
The PADI TEC 50 course is the culmination of the PADI Tec Deep program. Building on your TEC 45 skills, it qualifies you to plan and execute accelerated decompression dives to a maximum of 50 metres/165 feet using up to two decompression gases.
This is where technical diving becomes second nature. Mission planning, gas management, emergency response, and the discipline to execute complex multi-stop decompression dives — all refined to the level that defines a competent technical diver.
Bali's warm, clear water and abundant deep sites make it one of the world's best places to complete this certification.
What You'll
Master
Mission Planning
Develop meticulous dive plans for complex multi-level decompression dives and learn to execute them with precision under real conditions.
Advanced Decompression
Master accelerated decompression using up to two stage cylinders with EANx or pure oxygen, managing multiple required decompression stops.
Gas Management
Apply technical gas planning rules in real dive scenarios, managing bottom gas and decompression cylinders throughout the dive.
Emergency Management
Handle complex emergencies at depth — equipment failures, lost gases, diver distress — with calm and trained responses.
Technical Mindset
Solidify the critical thinking, situational awareness, and problem-solving approach that separates a technical diver from a recreational one.
Buoyancy & Trim
Refine horizontal trim and precision buoyancy control at depth — essential for managing decompression stops and efficient gas use.

Warm Water, Year-Round
Bali's average water temperature of 27–30°C in shallow water makes conditions comfortable year-round. At TEC depths of 40–50m — particularly at Candidasa and Padangbai — temperatures can drop to 19°C during the cold season, ideal for practising thermal management.
World-Class Deep Sites
From Tulamben's Liberty Wreck to Nusa Penida's walls and Candidasa's deep drop-offs — world-class technical dive sites are easily accessible from shore or short boat rides.
