Adex in Singapore 2016
Adex in Singapore
Another year has passed and the last weekend Bali Diving Academy visited the Adex in Singapore once again. This year the Adex was dedicated to the Seahorses, therefore we choose the image above. It is always a great way to catch up with people, meet new ones and have a look at the diving industry latest developments and trends. It seems to be that the majority of diving centers now coming to Singapore for Adex are actually from Indonesia and by far outweigh all the other countries. But then looking into the vast abundance of dive sites all around, from Live aboard trips around Raya Ampat or Komodo, stunning islands (remember, there is more than 17 000 here) and naturally our home turf Bali with well known dive sites in “mainland” Bali with Pemuteran, Tulamben and Amed or many people favorites Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida in the south east, this comes as no surprise.
Also most of the incredible photographs that entered the photo competitions where taken in Indonesia and with today’s quality of digital cameras even a small compact camera can produce incredible results.
Further there are some new equipment developments and we visited Aqualung and Scubapro and had a look at the latest in diving technology. Compressors, engines, cameras and of course lots of other accessories round up the equipment part of the show. We could also listen to some awesome speakers this year as well on the 3 different stages for several different topics.
Compared to last year, we have the feeling that there was a greater audience especially on Saturday and Sunday afternoon and Singapore remains the diving hub of Asia as from here you can literally travel anywhere with ease.
Apart for the Adex Bali Diving Academy has an interesting time ahead, National Geographic is due to come again soon, this year not with 2 even three groups and ISKL will be here for a 5th time in Pemuteran in 2016. All our boats finished docking, tanks and compressors have been serviced, new equipment purchased so we are ready for the high season to arrive.
We are looking forward to see you all in Bali :-)
