About the Location

Menjangan or Deer island is located in the northwest corner of Bali and part of the Taman National Bali Barat park. Many divers consider the island to have some of the healthiest, most spectacular coral reefs and wall dives in Bali. Visibility is generally good and conditions mild, making it suitable for all levels of divers as well as snorkelers. Walls dives start from between 3-8 meters and you will have a chance to see turtles, reef sharks, eagle rays, nudibranchs, frogfish and much more.

Shark Point

Level: Beginner

Depth: 5 to 30 m

Takes 40 minutes by boat, Shark Point is a steep wall with many small caves and crevasses.  The landscape is very impressive with big sponges and fan corals. Where we could see: Pufferfish, nudibranchs, orangutan crabs, batfish, fusiliers, moray eels, scorpion fish, trumpetfish, boxfish and many small reeffish.

Temple Wall

Level: Beginner

Depth: 5 to 30 m

Takes 35 minutes by boat, starting from close to the temple and heading to the west you have a sheer wall with beautiful fan corals. Easy to find: Nudibranches, pygmy sea horse, orangutan crabs, squat lobsters, batfish, schooling bigmouth mackerels, reef sharks and crocodilefish.

Coral Garden Menjangan

Level: Beginner - all levels

Depth: 5 to 30 m

It takes 35 minutes by boat, this site alternates between wall and steep slopes with very colorful corals covering every surface. Where we can see the crocodilefish, turtles, whitetip and blacktip reef sharks, squid, schools of bigmouth mackerels, cuttlefish, nudibranchs, barracuda, six banded angelfish and sometimes pygmy seahorses.
